The Financial Management Association (FMA) CSUB Chapter is dedicated to opening many doors to the financial world for our students. We travel to places such as Chicago, New York, and San Francisco every year to enjoy hands-on experiences in the area of finance. FMA Club members get to ask professionals what they look for in new employees and where to look for good job opportunities in financial institutions. Also, by bringing speakers to campus, we introduce various financial careers and an understanding of financial operations in corporate America to students.

The Financial Management Association is proud to announce the following Student Organization Officers for the 2018-2019 Academic Year:

Alexzander AcevedoAlexzander Acevedo- President

“My name is Alexzander Acevedo, I’m 25 years old and my greatest quality is ambition. I have been attending CSU Bakersfield since the fall of 2016, and I am currently a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus in finance. I’ve always strived to stay active and current in my interests and that has led me to become the president of the Financial Management Association here on campus. Joining FMA has been a valuable and educational experience. As a result, I’ve not only learned the fundamentals of striving towards success, but truly learned the meaning of integrity. It is an excellent resource for anyone pursuing a career in finance and I would recommend it.”

I am involved in other on-campus organizations besides FMA.
